Could you be the full-time Software Lead Engineer in [LOCATION] we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive software development expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates.
You'll lead the charge in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet stringent quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Train Control Engineers, Sub-System Engineers, Verification & Validation Leaders), overseeing the development lifecycle and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of managing software development resources, ensuring the delivery of each software baseline, and overseeing SDE-MPU activities, but also contributing to continuous improvement and Return on Experience (RoE) management.
We’ll look to you for:

Applying and promoting standard methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency within project development

Defining and sharing reusable design patterns within your domain

Championing continuous improvement initiatives within your team
-
Maintaining traceability and configuration of development tools
-
Supporting technical and process issues in tenders and projects
-
Delivering Train Software according to the Engineering Work Package

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Experience or understanding of software development phases and hardware-software integration

Knowledge of network protocols like MVB, Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS485

Familiarity with model-based development tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Control Build
-
A certification in project management or a related area
-
Proven leadership in managing complete product life-cycles

Experience in managing work packages for sub-contractors
