• Purpose of the Job :Manage the Software Development of Human Machine Interface (HMI) Software and Integration of the module.

•    Control to assure the following

• Quality of the delivery (included sub-contractor delivery):1st time quality rate > 95% (quality rate = modification validated OK / number of modifications applied)
• Respect of the delivery planning (included sub-contractor delivery):100% OTD 
• Level of application of Standard Methodologies and Processes for his / her project: 100% 
• Continuous improvement & Return on Experience (RoE) management from previous projects

Responsibilities

• Objective Setting: Set clear directions and objectives for your team, aligning them with the broader organizational goals.
• Engage with Experts: Collaborate with subject matter experts to thoroughly comprehend the requirements and constraints within our domain/metier. Facilitate discussions and gather essential insights to inform decision-making.
• Process and Documentation Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of process methodologies, instructions, guidelines, templates, and checklists relevant to our domain/metier. Ensure adherence to established processes and documentation management practices.
• Delivery Management: Familiarity with delivery processes and associated constraints. Participate in planning and execution, estimating costs, and developing schedules for various activities within the domain/metier.
• Configuration and Requirement Management: Apply plans related to Configuration Management and Requirement Management, ensuring that configurations are properly managed and requirements are met.
• Establish Engineering Management Plan: Develop and implement comprehensive engineering management plans that encompass all aspects of project execution, from concept to completion.
• REX Implementation: Support the team in the implementation of lessons learned (REX) from previous projects, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
• Team Collaboration: Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork by caring for all team members, providing constructive feedback, and acting fairly in all interactions.
• Workload Management: Anticipate workload requirements and plan resources and tasks accordingly, ensuring efficient project execution.
• Talent Identification: Identify and nurture talent within the team, recognizing and fostering the potential of team members.
• Communication Planning: Develop comprehensive communication action plans that consider target audiences and defined objectives, ensuring effective dissemination of information.
• Conflict Resolution: Identify and address conflicts of interest within the domain/metier, maintaining composure and confidence during resolution processes.

• Demand Management: Grasp the principles and applications of demand, including firm and forecast demand. Maintain close tracking of forecast and consumption using various analytical methods.

Job Specifications
Knowledge & Experience 
•    Hands-on design and development experience of complete software development life cycle in two or more projects - phases like system / software requirement gathering, Requirement Analysis, Software Architecture Design, Software design and development, Software-Software integration, Hardware Software Integration etc, with minimum 12 years of experience.
•    Managed at least a team of 5 to 8 Engineers to assure the KPIs of QCD for People/Project/Platform
•    Experience on Human Machine Interface Requirement definition, Software Development and Executable generation is preferred. Additionally, Knowledge on displays, display layouts, UI/UX and ergonomics.
•    Experience in developing the tools and utilities that support software development process.
•    Experience in developing in HMI software based on IEC 61131-3 standard specifically Structured Text language using object oriented/model based development tools like 3S Codesys or Qt etc.
•    Knowledge in working with real-time enhanced embedded Linux distribution like TimeSys Linux/RT and bash scripting.
•    Generating HMI executable code to be loaded on the target and trouble shooting at Hardware, Testbench and System at Site
•    Experience in developing software in PLC programming like FBD, SFC preferred
•    Experience in developing software in HMI tools like VAPS XT, Codesys etc and complete back end coding for application layer (also - network layer preferred)
•    Familiarity with real-time, distributed controllers and their functioning.
•    Knowledge of network protocols like Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS 485, MVB, 1553B, AFDX, A429, A629 etc.
•    Knowledge on EN50128 standard or equivalent standards with knowledge/experience in safety critical software development or mission critical software development.
•    Work experience / Knowledge of Train Control and Monitoring system preferred.
