OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

  • Deploy trackside signalling systems and maintain safety related products.
  • Performs the verifications and tests in accordance with the test specifications.
  • Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting) upon customer request.
  • Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares and execute the test and commissioning activities of the signalling trackside system.
  • Ensures follow-up of detected issues and delivers the commissioning reports.
  • Assist the customer in case of system defect.
  • Ensures trouble shooting, restore system operations and provides intervention reports.
  • Ensures the EHS respect (Zero deviation), report and anticipate issues.

     

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

 

EDUCATION

Master's degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience.

 

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Flexibility and mobility: Job based in Charleroi with frequent short term travels (sometime planned in the emergency) mainly in Europe;
  • Rigorous & team player;
  • Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve complex system failures;
  • Customer satisfaction and results orientated;
  • Able to communicate in an open an clear manner with various stakeholders; 
  • Able to perform the global reporting of the activity;
  • Ability to use new technologies and tools;
  • Driving license (B);
  • BA5 and VCA certifications are an asset.

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

  • Language skills: Good knowledge in English and French language (spoken, read, written). Any other additional language is an asset
