Purpose of the job - The Accounting Operations Lead  is responsible for ensuring the effective performance of the Accounting within the Global Finance Shared Service Center organization.

He/she is responsible for the financial accounts and the management reporting of the Cebu local entity, the preparation of its accurate and timely financial reports and statements. He/she manages individual performance and builds teamwork within his/her team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensures correctness and validity of the financial statements, and the legal & tax reporting.
• Provides financial records that are in compliance with accepted A&R policies and procedures.
• Prepares accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearend close.
• Establishes and monitors the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
• Acts as business partner to Local HoAs and SSC counterparts.
• Handles SSC service providers (i.e. payroll service, accounting services, IT services, security services, and other contractors that may be required) according to contractual agreements.
• Manages travel planning, coordinates and audits travel expense reports according to AT policies.
• Initiates and drives Continuous Improvement in his/her team.     
• Performs coaching, mentoring and talent development activities for his/her team.

Key Requirements

• 6-8 years solid experience in General Ledger Accounting, and/or Audit.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus; Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
• Excellent in finance analysis and reporting.
• Proficient in MS Tools specifically Excel; knowledge on SAP environment is a plus.
• Resilient, Confident, Agile, Inclusive and Responsible.
• Must be willing to work in Cebu City, Philippines in a hybrid work arrangement.
