As Legal Counsel for NCA, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal support to Alstom's business activities in the region. In that context the position aims at supporting the business, the Contract Management team and the Senior Legal Counsel NCA in all legal matters requiring legal expertise.
Key responsibilities :
- Offering legal advice and guidance on contractual matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with customers, partners, and subcontractors.
- Managing and resolving legal disputes and litigation, working closely with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations, including but not limited to commercial, corporate, and employment law.
- Supporting the business in regulatory matters and representing the company in dealings with regulatory authorities.
- Providing training and updates to internal stakeholders on legal issues and developments that may impact the business.
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into business strategies and decisions.
Key accountabilities:
- Review, draft and negotiate legal documents with an acceptable level of risks
- Support the business in all legal and contractual matters including claim management, dispute settlement
- Support bid teams during tender process including contractual and legal assessment of tender documents
- Handle corporate law matters
- Promote Alstom Code of Ethics and adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS :
- Law degree in Business law (Master II)
Mandatory :
- Solid experience in an international business environment, law firm or similar
- Strong knowledge of international public tenders rules and practices
- very good French, English and Arabic language skills
- Good drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in complex and international organization
- Previous experience within an industrial environment would be a plus.
