Gibela stands as Africa’s largest train manufacturing and passenger trains maintenance company, holding steadfast to its commitment to spearheading the revival of the South African railway sector. We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for a 24 months Graduate Programme under Services. The position will report EHS Manager and is based at Salt River (Western Cape).

 

 

 

 

Job Purpose

The programme offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills in the transport rail manufacturing industry. Participants will experience a dynamic and challenging work environment, collaborating with various teams across the organization. The role includes servicing and maintaining high‑quality products, as well as supporting the monitoring of compliance with Gibela’s requirements and standards.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the EHS Lead at site level.
  • Pro-actively co-ordinating the business health, safety & environment activities.
  •  Ensure that the maintenance activities exceed its regulatory, contractual and company obligations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements
  • National Diploma or BTech in Occupational Health and Safety
  • No previous work experience
  • South African citizen between 18 and 35 years of age
  • Excellent communicate skills in English
  • MS Office literate
