Job Title : Production Control Engineer & Maintenance Management System Key User – Tren Maya

 

Purpose of the job:

 

In the context of Tren Maya project, ALSTOM is offering high level of Maintenance Service of the Rolling Stock, Track systems (Signaling & Communication) and Maintenance facilities.

 

Relying on Alstom roll-out methodology, the Production Control Engineer & Maintenance Management System Key User is playing two important roles within the maintenance activities:

  • Releasing service orders, verifying the accuracy of data captured by the maintenance technicians (chasing them for improvement), and closing-out these service orders – all this using the Maintenance Management System (ERP), and according to the planning defined by the Fleet Manager / Maintenance Planner.
  • Supporting the users of the MMS, providing training and assistance.

ALSTOM Core Model ERP is based on a customized SAP database known as GSI (Global Single Instance), with an extension for end users available on tablets called SES (Service Execution System). For Tren Maya project, these solutions are complemented by the ERP used by the end customer : MAXIMO. The MMS key user provides support for all these solutions.

The Key User has an extensive knowledge of current practices and new processes. Occasionally in contact with the central team, he/she is the local process ambassador of his/her functional stream, and has a critical role when it comes to implementing changes of the Core Model.

 

The Production Control Eng. & MMS Key User is also supporting the Workshop Manager, the RS Maintenance Manager, and the Project Indus Manager, for collecting production data, feeding project KPIs, and making reports of maintenance execution performance.

Rolling Stock Fleet Manager / Maintenance Planner.

Local Workshop Manager.

Job location:

The position is based in the maintenance facility of Cancún, QRoo.

Frequent trips to the other maintenance facilities of Yucatán peninsula, and occasionally to other Alstom or suppliers´sites.

 

Job hours:

Usually during day shift Monday to Friday. Team support can also require presence during night shift and/or week-ends, and availability during resting days for spot urgent requests.

 

Educational requirements :

Mandatory:

  • Graduate degree or extensive experience in impacted stream such as engineering or supply chain

  • English proficiency – is able to use English on a daily basis for participation to meetings, reading and writing purposes.

  • Analytical skill

  • Teamwork and collaboration with other functions

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment

  • Disciplined, rigorous, proactive.   

Desirable:

  • Good knowledge of ERP system, especially SAP

  • Communication skills                   

 

Experience:

Mandatory:

  • Knowledge of current practices and processes : use of an ERP system in railways maintenance environment : ideally SAP (and its application in Alstom: GSI) and/or MAXIMO

Desirable:

  • Experience of Alstom business and products lines

  • Continuous Improvement awareness

  • Experience in end-users training

  • Project Management or Change Management
