Alstom Canada is actively growing and looking for a Customer Director for our West Coast Projects

In this role, you will represent Alstom interest on our current projects and be the natural counterpart of the general management of the client for ongoing business activities and new opportunities. You will lead the customer relationship, opportunities, and major negotiations with the client such as variations orders or claims or critical correspondences in close collaboration with Project and Contract and managers of the related project.

 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Execution of the projects carried out via a permanent Project Management Organisation
  • Defining and developing the Customer Strategy and Marketing Plan in conjunction with the Canada Managing Director
  • Achieving or exceeding Budgeted Sales, margins, orders, and Free Cash Flow
  • Maintaining successful customer relationship and business development
  • Achieving agreed performance measures on Tenders, Projects, and for the quality of the customer relationship
  • Agree Tenders Global QCD commitment during Tender Phase with the solution owner
  • Identify and negotiate contract opportunities

 

EXPECTED COMPETENCIES

Educational Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Railway Industry (desirable)
  • An engineering (mechanical or electrical) background is essential

 

Desired Knowledge / Experience

  • Able to represent Alstom professionally at senior management level within client organisations and other agencies
  • Objective and target focused
  • Strategically aware, able to see and understand big picture
  • Knowledge of maintenance and production systems and processes
  • Contract management experience, ideally in a regulated industry
  • Computer literate
  • Team player with inclusive mindset
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment
  • Able willing to work on own initiative
