Are you seeking to enhance your career and join us on our journey as our EHS Advisor on a Permanent basis and make your mark with a globally renowned organisation in the rail sector? The EHS Advisor is a key and integral role supporting multiple projects within D&IS such as renewals and enhancement schemes which vary in size from updating and improving life expired signalling equipment to installing and commissioning new equipment. Roles will be based across the different sites dependent on the project requirements. You will support the EHS Manager – in maintaining Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance across all projects.

 

Your future role

 

You’ll be tasked to advise the team on all aspects of EHS and to offer support and assistance where required in order to successfully deliver the project/s and maintain and improve ESH standards. Other aspects of the role include:

  • Providing support for & to monitor all aspects of Occupational Health & Safety, Quality & Environment specifically Risk Assessments and associated controls.
  •  Advising the Teams on all EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) where applicable (shifts as necessary)
  • Undertaking inspections and audits as necessary.
  • Producing EHS objectives from reviews, findings and audits.
  • Monitor KPI’s and other indicators (submitting to Client)
  • Lead and co-ordinate project Accident investigations / Incidents / Near Misses.
  • Managing Close Calls and ensure that they are tracked and the associated corrective actions are closed out adequately(RSSB CCS)
  • Undertaking and support projects traffic management plans (TMP)
  • Undertaking and support project induction process. · Supporting project/sites fatigue management processes.
  • Supporting and undertaking Client, Contractor, Supplier EHS engagement meetings as required.
  • Providing EHS support for the AUK&I where applicable.

  • NEBOSH Diploma ( or working towards) / NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate
  • NEBOSH Fire Risk Management Certificate (not mandatory)
  • IEMA Certificate or equivalent
  • Internal Quality Auditor
  • Training Skills (A1/A2)or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of Construction and CDM Regulations
  • Experience of working with ISO14001, ISO45001 & OHSAS 18001 (45001) / HSG 65 standards.
  • Knowledge and experience of working on operational railway infrastructure (Network Rail)
  • Working knowledge of Railway specific standards
  • Working knowledge of U.K. Health and Safety legislation
