Your future role

We’ll look to you for:

  • Provide assistance across all phases of complex rail transit projects, ranging from conceptual to final design.
  • Collaborate with a team to deliver systems engineering expertise and oversight for projects involving various telecommunications systems, including Multiservice Network System, Public Address System, Radio Communication System (LTE), Telephone System, Fiber Optic, CCTV, Passenger Information System, voice recording system, and Clock system.
  • Evaluate and assess Telecommunications engineering systems proposed by designers and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
  • Strategize and execute Integration and Interface management with other systems such as SCADA, AFC, PSD, PS&D, SIG, Fire Alarm, Access Control, VEMS, and Civil.
  • Establish and implement robust systems integration processes throughout the design and construction phases of the project.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and witness testing activities.
  • Verify that the project design adheres to relevant codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with partners, subcontractors, and home office staff to ensure effective communication and incorporation of design input and feedback.
  • Support the integration of the Telecommunications system with other subsystems and partners by developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and facilitating communication with subsystem design leads.
  • Assist in the development of tools, test equipment, training materials, and other resources required for the efficient delivery of the Telecommunications system within the contractual obligations.

  • Degree in telecommunications engineering.
  • Experience 3 – 5 years in at least 35 or 4 subsystems of the following:
    o     Multiservice Network (Ethernet, IP/MPLS, Routers/Switches/Firewalls, TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, Wi-Fi).
    o     Public Address System.
    o     Passenger Information system.
    o     Telephony system.
    o     Master Clock system.
    o     Voice Recording system.
    o     CCTV.
    o     Wireless, 4G/LTE.
    o     Structure Cabling.
  • Fluent in Arabic & English Language.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • IP certification like CCNA, CCNP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of railway systems will be a plus.
