Could you be the full-time Tech Sales & Business Development Manager in Cairo, we are looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your **strategic planning and relationship-building** expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside **dedicated and innovative** teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in driving sustainable business growth and strengthening customer relationships. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (**Bidding, Engineering, and Regional Management**), develop tailored strategies for market growth, and contribute to Alstom's mission of delivering smarter, greener mobility solutions.

You’ll specifically take care of defining and implementing business development strategies and fostering customer intimacy, but also ensuring alignment with Alstom’s ethics and compliance standards.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Defining and implementing the Business Development strategy in alignment with the Country/Cluster MD and regional business plans.

  • Strengthening customer intimacy by presenting tailored and standardized solutions that enhance customer operation KPIs.

  • Driving strategic growth initiatives with cluster teams to ensure year-over-year sustainable growth.

  • Collaborating with Bidding and Engineering teams to align customer needs with Alstom’s risk mitigation and profitability goals.

  • Compiling market intelligence on trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform strategic actions.

  • Developing relationships with decision networks and lobbying to influence decision-making processes.

  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s Ethics & Compliance rules in all business development actions.

  • Supporting customer needs reviews, marketing carousels, and regional business plans.

  • Providing timely updates on opportunities and competitor positioning through CRM tools.

  • Contributing to tender strategies and supporting negotiations as needed during tender phases.

All about you

  • A graduate degree in Engineering or Business (mandatory).

  • A Master of Business Administration or Engineering degree (desirable).

  • At least 10 years of experience in the rail or related business, or project engineering industries (mandatory).

  • High proficiency in understanding organizational products and services.

  • Good knowledge and connections with transport clients/customers in the country/cluster/region (desirable).

  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong relationship-building abilities with customers, government authorities, and internal stakeholders.

  • Competitive awareness and the ability to position Alstom’s value against competitors.

  • Proactive and efficient responses to challenges in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to influence and persuade.

  • Global and cultural awareness with good language skills.
