Could you be the full-time Signalling Hardware Engineer in Cairo we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your hardware application engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality signalling hardware solutions that ensure safe and efficient railway systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as V&V, installation, and testing & commissioning teams), support the preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM), and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of designing hardware engineering drawings, including cable plans and wiring diagrams, but also contribute to analyzing requirements and managing design change requests.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Preparing and executing hardware and application engineering activities for bids, projects, and programs
  • Delivering hardware design drawings, including signaling equipment layouts, cabinet and rack designs
  • Taking ownership of assigned tasks and ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Preparing Bill of Materials (BOM), including equipment codification and quantities
  • Organizing and producing documentation and hardware design deliverables
  • Analyzing and managing design change requests
  • Ensuring the independence of design activities from verification activities

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control & Automation Engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in engineering or technical functions within railway projects
  • Knowledge of railway systems and signalling equipment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with Visual Basic® Applications for AutoCAD
  • Experience in designing electrical diagrams, such as scheme plans, cable plans, and cabinet configurations
  • Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a passion for technical matters and a quick learner
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset
  • No restrictions to travel
  • Hiring with local contract in Egypt

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
