Could you be the full-time SIG Installation Design Engineer in Cairo we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your SIG installation engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and detail-oriented team of professionals.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of Mainline and Urban (M&U) Signaling Installation Engineering (IE) activities that support our bids and projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Project Installation Managers, Site Managers, and Installation Supervisors, to ensure the delivery and quality of documentation in compliance with our M&U signaling strategies. You’ll also ensure adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, local regulations, and professional standards.

You’ll specifically take care of preparing and executing IE activities such as drawings, documentation, and specifications, but also support field teams by reviewing deliverables and addressing design modifications or change requests as needed.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Preparing and executing Installation Engineering activities (e.g., drawings, documentation, specifications, work method statements) for bids and projects.

  • Ensuring deliverables meet project execution requirements, including compliance with customer needs, local regulations, and installation subcontractor requirements.

  • Reviewing civil interface drawings and providing signaling equipment requirements for space allocation and cable trunking.

  • Preparing installation material specifications and Bill of Quantities (BoQ).

  • Supporting the preparation of field quality dossiers for handover.

  • Creating as-built documentation to ensure conformity with as-installed configurations.

  • Conducting site surveys during preparation and execution phases, if necessary.

  • Collaborating with BIM coordinators and modelers to align on common IE studies and deliverables.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including best practices, process enhancements, and updates to the Reference Library.

  • 0-2 years of experience in design, drafting, or engineering (project and/or construction experience is a plus).

  • Expert-level knowledge in AutoCAD is essential.

  • Basic knowledge of BIM tools such as Revit MEP and Navisworks.

  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

  • Familiarity with combined service drawings (CSD) and construction shop drawings.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
