Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your systems integration expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and solution-focused teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration and interaction between multiple railway subsystems, contributing to the delivery of safe, efficient, and reliable transport solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (signaling, rolling stock, telecommunications, SCADA, AFC, and more), lead multidisciplinary technical coordination meetings, and manage interface activities throughout the project lifecycle.

You’ll specifically take care of defining and maintaining Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and leading verification and validation activities, but also provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading system integration and interface management activities between railway subsystems, including signaling, rolling stock, PSDs, telecommunications, and SCADA.

  • Defining, preparing, reviewing, and validating Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to align technical, functional, and operational requirements.

  • Preparing and reviewing Engineering Technical Notes (ETNs), interface specifications, and technical assessments to support design and integration activities.

  • Managing signaling-related interfaces across design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.

  • Leading technical coordination meetings to resolve interface issues and integration risks.

  • Reviewing system and subsystem designs to ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and safety needs.

  • Overseeing system integration, verification, and validation activities, including FAT, SAT, and integrated system testing.

  • Analyzing operational scenarios to ensure seamless interaction between signaling and other railway systems.

  • Supporting change management activities by assessing technical impacts on interfaces and integration.

  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and stakeholders.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in railway/metro projects, with significant experience in systems integration and signaling interfaces.

  • Proven experience working with CBTC, ETCS, Interlocking, ATS, ATP, ATO, or other railway signaling systems.

  • Strong background in ICD preparation, interface management, and multidisciplinary integration activities.

  • Experience in requirements management, verification and validation, testing and commissioning, and system assurance processes.
