Could you be the full-time Rail Infrastructure Unit Manager - WON in Cairo we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and leadership expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, driven, and innovative teammates.

You'll ensure the performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of critical rail infrastructure systems, contributing to safe and uninterrupted operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Operations, Maintenance Units, Procurement), lead maintenance activities, and optimize asset performance, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of managing systems like Traction Power Supply, Electric Traction Systems, Track Switches, and Conductor Rail Systems, but also oversee lifecycle management and continuous improvement initiatives.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Acting as the technical owner for rail infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • Planning and supervising preventive, corrective, and overhaul maintenance activities.

  • Implementing best practices in asset lifecycle management and sustainability strategies.

  • Ensuring proper operation and maintenance of traction power and protection systems.

  • Establishing structured failure reporting and root cause analysis processes.

  • Leading and managing a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.

  • Managing critical spare parts, tools, and consumables to maintain system reliability.

  • Collaborating with other maintenance units and operations teams for seamless system integration.

  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

  • Defining and tracking KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in railway, metro, or monorail infrastructure systems

  • Strong understanding of traction power supply systems, electric traction, and distribution.

  • Knowledge of protection and control systems.

  • Familiarity with rail infrastructure maintenance practices.

  • A PMP or CMRP certification (preferred).

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Asset and maintenance management expertise.

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
