Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Power Supply expertise in a new cutting-edge field.
To take responsibility for Power Supply & Distribution (PS & D), Track Switch Beams, and Power Rail related engineering issues focusing on asset life cycle management, leading the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) process, developing maintenance practices/strategies, auditing/analyzing sub-system performances and proposing corrective actions/new technologies to improve sub-system performances and cost-effectiveness
We will be looking to you to:
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
- Manage safety systems and processes.
- Manage quality systems and processes together with QA.
- Conduct accident/safety investigations.
Development and management of the implementation of asset life cycle strategies
- Establish useful life of PS&D, Switches, Power Rail equipment, and a replacement program for assets through analyzing the maintenance management information system.
- Conduct trend analysis to determine performance requirements improvements of assets.
- Provide updated maintenance practices and strategies.
- Manage the configuration management information for the assets.
- Determine the most cost-effective strategy that has minimal negative impact on safety and quality.
- Provide inputs for the maintenance budget.
- Study and follow design documents, manuals, and drawings.
Condition monitoring and failure trend analysis
- Lead the FRACAS process.
- Investigate and analyze equipment failure trends and condition monitoring in order to improve maintenance performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Review component failure data to identify trends, take ownership of specific components failure modes and proposing mitigating actions / solutions.
- Propose corrective actions to eliminate failure trends.
- Provide Field Maintenance Engineering and direction in support of the delivery of cost-effective maintenance plans and reliability growth.
- Liaise with production team, analyzing information (problem, cause, remedy analysis).
Configuration management of manuals and drawings
- Establish, update and maintain maintenance manuals and drawings.
- Evaluate proposals and changes and determine impact on cost, safety, quality and other areas.
- Raise change request and liaise and consult with various stakeholders and design authorities for approval.
Technical audits
- Conduct regular technical field audits to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
- Report on findings, making recommendations and suggestions for improvement.
- Liaise with relevant Group stakeholders (e.g., OEM, design authorities, infrastructure manager, Systems Manager) to determine compliance to standards.
New technologies
- Compile and implement instructions, specifications and standards relating to safety aspects, technical clarification, implementation of new technology, work methods, commissioning and testing.
- Anticipate technological requirements and propose the use of new technologies and ensure alignment to best practices.
- Raise change request and liaise and consult with various stakeholders and design authorities for approval
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
Knowledge:
- MV, LV, and DC Traction Power Supply System
- Track Switches
- Decision making
- Safety Management
- Advance technical knowledge
- Document Review cycles
- Advance technical knowledge
- EAM such Maximo/ GSI
Experience:
- At least 7 years’ relevant experience in infrastructure maintenance environment.
- Rail Experience is plus.
Fluent in Arabic & English Language.
