Could you be the full-time onsite Power Supply (POS) Automation Design Leader in Cairo, EG we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and problem-solving expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll lead the design, development, and implementation of automation systems across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as System Engineering, Installation, and T&C teams), oversee the configuration and programming of automation systems, and provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll specifically take care of defining automation topologies for high reliability and scalability, but also managing technical interfaces with suppliers and customers.
We’ll look to you for:

Leading the design, development, and implementation of automation systems

Defining and optimizing automation topologies for reliability and scalability

Overseeing the configuration and programming of PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and automation servers
-
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards
-
Preparing documentation, including specifications, BOQs, and technical proposals
-
Troubleshooting and resolving complex automation issues
-
Managing technical interfaces with internal and external stakeholders
-
Providing support to System Engineering and Installation teams
-
Ensuring consistency and compatibility between all sub-system specifications
-
Participating in design reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering or related field

5-8 years of experience in automation systems design and implementation
-
Strong knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus (TCP/RTU), IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, OPC UA/DA, and Ethernet/IP
-
Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder diagrams, functional blocks)

Experience with Substation Automation Systems (SAS)

Solid understanding of medium-voltage electrical protection functions
-
Strong technical documentation and communication skills
-
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
