Could you be the full-time onsite Power Supply (POS) design Engineer in Cairo, EG we’re looking for?
Qualifications:
Candidates shall have at least some of the following qualifications:
- Familiar with Power System Studies using computer softwares (ETAP, SKM, … ,etc.).
- Familiar with substation secondary design (protection schemes).
- Familiar with infrastructure design at MV level.
- Familiar with MV/LV switchgears, transformers, generators, UPS, batteries and LV/MV cables design and specifications.
- Familiar with substation automation system (SAS), communication protocols, specially IEC 61850.
Responsibilities
- Technical Interface Management with internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical management of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Responsible for on-time Design submission of the POS design documents.
- Provide support on Power Supply (POS) topics to System Engineering team.
- Provide support on POS perimeter to Installation teams during Construction and T&C.
- Requirement development, coming from reference and applicable documents from Metiers, Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform and Customer, and for transverse requirement allocations to the various subsystems in close collaboration with the relevant specialists.
- Respect of normative references and local standards rules.
- Integration of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety (RAMS) requirements.
- Support definition of the global POS System architecture as per the external/internal requirements
- Support definition of HV and LV Electrical design, SCADA + Protections design and Installation design.
- Consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems specifications.
- Efficiency of the transversal studies related to POS (Earthing & Bonding…).
- Technical interface with Customer to provide support to POS Sub-system and POS Design Manager.
- Off-shore Design team coordination.
- Participation to Design Reviews, part of the DFQ process.
- Preparation and follow up of all correspondences (letters, minutes of meetings, submittals…) related to POS design activities.
- Definition of components technical criteria and technical evaluation of suppliers.
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) procedures and technical assistance to FAT if any.
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ) elaboration, review and update.
- Support on arbitration on architecture definition between the subsystems to reach the best compromise for the POS design.
- Participate in collecting REX on POS design.
- Review and getting approval of design deliverables and reply to comments
