Could you be the full-time onsite Power Supply (POS) CAD operator in Cairo, EG we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and detail-oriented expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.You'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of electrical designs, contributing to the development of sustainable and efficient transportation solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Power Supply Design Engineers and Manufacturing Teams), maintain and manage CAD libraries, and ensure documentation compliance with engineering standards, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of creating and updating electrical schematics, block diagrams, and wiring diagrams, but also assist in resolving drawing-related issues during prototyping and mass production.We’ll look to you for: 

  • Electrical CAD drafting and documentation, including creating and updating electrical schematics, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, and system-level drawings based on engineer specifications.
  • Preparing floorplans, component placement drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Generating detailed assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), cable routing, and interconnection diagrams.
  • Ensuring all design files comply with engineering standards, documentation rules, and revision control processes.
  • Maintaining and managing CAD libraries, including symbols, footprints, and templates.
  • Controlling drawing revisions using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, DraftSight).
  • Ensuring documentation traceability, consistency, and correct versioning across all engineering outputs.
  • Collaborating closely with design and manufacturing teams to translate design concepts into finalized drawings.
  • Conducting drawing self-checks for quality, correctness, and design rule consistency.
  • Ensuring that documentation meets company quality processes and audit requirements. 

All about you

  • A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, CAD Design, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a CAD operator, preferably in electrical drafting and documentation.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience or understanding of electrical schematics, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, and system-level drawings.
  • Knowledge of layouts, component placement, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Familiarity with revision control processes and CAD library management.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with design and manufacturing teams.
