Main Responsibilities of the Industrial Ops & Performance Director

Global Metiers Animation

§ Oversee and coordinate all activities within Regional and Site Industrial Operations.

§ Ensure effective collaboration among various disciplines, including:

o Industrialization / Process & Manufacturing Engineering (PME)

o Manufacturing, Facility development & Maintenance

o Testing & Commissioning

o Expertise domains in World Class Manufacturing (WCM)

Standardization

§ Develop and implement standardized processes and tools for Industrial Operations.

§ Ensure compliance with the Alstom Management System and applicable rail standards (such as ISO and IRIS).

§ Focus on key operational domains, including:

o Electrical

o Testing and Commissioning

Industrial Development and Operational Support

§ Lead the Industrialization Business Capability Center (SIC) to drive best practices across operations.

§ Support the development of industrial maturity at various sites.

§ Promote the integration of automation and robotics in all transversal programs, ensuring current and future competitiveness

(including ASST, PM2020, DFQ, CCM, and PLM4A).

§ Provide operational support to critical sites and undertake specific assignments for strategic initiatives

§ Champion World Class Manufacturing practices for Rolling Stock Components (RSC) and ensure leadership in associated expertise domains.

§ Implement the APSYS roadmap for Industrialization and manage shop floor operations efficiently.

§ Oversee the Tooling Center of Excellence to enhance productivity and innovation. 

Performance, Efficiency, and Development 

§ Establish industrial performance measurement systems to track and analyze operational efficiency.

§ Develop and implement industrial improvement action plans based on performance assessments.

§ Manage the Industrial REX process to capture and utilize lessons learned for continuous improvement.

§ Oversee the management of industrial competencies to foster skill development and maintain a high level of operational expertise.

§ Lead and nurture the RSC Operations Academy to enhance training, knowledge sharing, and the overall competency of the workforce
