The position aims at supporting the business and the Head of Legal/ Head of Legal and Contract Management in all legal matters, in particular :
Key accountabilities:
- Prepare, review and negotiate contracts, or other legal documents with an acceptable level of risks
- Support the business in all legal and contractual matters including claim management, dispute settlement
- Contractual and legal review and assessment of tender documents
- Support the business on definition of claim strategy, litigation, arbitration or other dispute matters
- Handling of corporate law matters
- Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Performance measurements:
Objectives, targets and performance measurements are defined on a yearly basis in line with the company’s financial targets, the General Counsel’s objectives for the Legal, Compliance and Contract Management Function.
Educational Requirements :
Mandatory:
Law degree in business law (Master II)
Desirable:
LLM/ LLB
Experience Requirements:
Mandatory:
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in an international business environment or law firm.
- Familiar with international contracts
- Previous exposure to international practice through studies or work experience
- Familiar with public tenders
- Fluent Arabic
- Excellent English language skills
Desirable:
- Private practice experience in international law firm is a plus
