Could you be the full-time Hub Indirect Buyer in Cairo we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and negotiation expertise in a dynamic, innovative field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates.You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of indirect commodities, fostering strong supplier relationships, and driving cost optimization. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Finance, Operations, and Commodity Management), manage supplier negotiations, and support the local site’s commodity strategy development, and much more.You’ll specifically take care of supplier relationship management and procurement process optimization, but also contribute to project coordination and performance monitoring.

We’ll look to you for:

• Consolidating commodity needs and inputs from different stakeholders
• Launching RFQs in alignment with global and local processes
• Managing quotes, comparisons, negotiations (price, terms, and conditions), and contract finalization
• Supporting the development of commodity strategies and supplier panels
• Monitoring supplier performance, deliveries, and resolving initial issues
• Applying Alstom’s sourcing processes and promoting ethical conduct
• Coordinating procurement-related project activities, including RFQ preparation, supplier negotiations, and business award recommendations
• Handling P2P responsibilities, such as material scheduling, managing purchasing documents, and ensuring timely deliveries

• Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Experience or understanding of procurement processes and supplier relationship management
• Knowledge of RFQ processes, contract negotiations, and cost optimization strategies
• Familiarity with commodity management and indirect purchasing
• A certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in using ERP systems for procurement activities
