Could you be the full-time onsite E&M subsystem Engineer in Cairo, EG we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your **railway systems integration** expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside **collaborative and innovative** teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring seamless integration of railway subsystems, contributing to the delivery of safe and efficient transportation solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (**signaling, rolling stock, electrical systems, and more**), **manage technical interfaces**, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of **reviewing and evaluating technical designs and managing interface control documents**, but also **overseeing testing and commissioning activities**.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Reviewing and evaluating electrical, PSD, and related technical designs, drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.

  • Preparing, reviewing, validating, and managing Interface Control Documents (ICD) between PSD, signaling, rolling stock, and other railway subsystems.

  • Coordinating Engineering Technical Notes (ETN), technical reports, and justifications to support project requirements and design decisions.

  • Managing interfaces between PSD, signaling, rolling stock, electrical systems, and other railway systems.

  • Supporting and overseeing testing and commissioning activities, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and integrated system testing.

  • Participating in design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and safety regulations.

  • Providing technical leadership, guidance, and support to engineering teams and junior engineers.

  • Ensuring technical documentation is properly maintained and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in railway/metro projects.

  • At least 2 years of experience in Platform Screen Doors (PSD) and/or Low Voltage (LV) systems.

  • Good knowledge of PSD systems and interfaces with signaling and rolling stock.

  • Good knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS, lighting, and earthing.

  • Experience in design review, testing, commissioning, and system integration.

  • Familiarity with railway engineering standards and safety requirements.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to lead technical activities and mentor junior engineers.

  • Good analytical and decision-making skills.
