Your future role

 

This is an opportunity to join a world-leading engineering company through a well-established 4 Year (excluding End Point Assessment) Apprenticeship Development Programme. You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive strong support, mentoring and coaching while developing against the Apprenticeship Standard.

 

The programme includes placements across multiple departments to build a broad understanding of the business. Placements are planned to support your development and provide a varied, rewarding experience.

 

Our Project Management Apprenticeship gives you the chance to be part of and support the project management community within Alstom who are responsible for end to end delivery of a project or subset of a project dependent on the complexity and criticality to the business. The project management team work with a cross-disciplinary team to deliver the project to time,cost and quality requirements. However, your day to day activities will vary

As part of the apprenticeship programme, you will complete a Level 6 Project Managment Degree Apprenticeship, with York St John University, and you will attend the York campus for workshops. Over the course of the programme, you will be combining the academic studies with real life work based experience across our organisation which will givd you the opportunity to build and gather evidence of your competence whilst working towards a formal competence.

 

Joining the team at Alstom will mean working on real assignments and gaining hands-on experience from day one, with the chance to build a personal network across the business.

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

 

  • GCSE or equivalent in 5 subjects including Maths, English, IT and Science at Grades 4-9
  • A Level of equivalent in 3 subjects/120 UCAS points including IT, Business, English at Grades A-C
