Job title: System Design Engineer Based at: Romania-Bucharest

Could you be the full-time System Design Engineer in Bucharest we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Lucian, and work alongside dynamic, adaptable and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll Perform System Design Activities related to Engineering Central and East Europe Projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business Project Architect, Project Engineering Manager, Subsystem leaders, teams from other sites).

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Member of the project/program engineering team
  • Applies process, methods and tools as referenced by the program plans
  • In collaboration with the System Architect and under the control of the System Engineering Manager he contributes to the system design and specification according to the development strategy established in the System Engineering Management Plan
  • Manage closure of logged technical issues associated with the systems and equipment
  • Responsible for, and control of, the technical documentation
  • Participates to the material selection and procurement activities as required for the system delivery
  • Sustains the system according to Change Requests (evolutions and anomalies)
  • Contributes to continuous improvement (RoE: Return on Experience, process, …)
  • Contributes to workload estimations for the deliverables of his scope
  • Provide continued assurance of the compliance of systems and equipment to mandatory standards and legislative requirements

  • University Degree in Engineering (Transportation Systems/Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent);
  • Teamwork and Communication skills;
  • Flexibility and adaptability;
  • Basic knowledge of railway signaling principles;
  • Good analytical skill;
  • Basic knowledge of ITC Hardware architectures (client/server, workstation/Blade, Ip networking, routing, operating systems).
  • Innovative – develops ideas into solutions
  • Planning and organizing
  • Team Player
  • Knowledge of an ability to work to relevant specifications and standards
  • Ability to produce clear documentation
  • Awareness of quality and safety management processes
  • English communication skills (at least medium level)
