Could you be the full-time Safety Assurance Manager in Bucharest we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your safety assurance expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and proactive teammates.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our Interlocking and ETCS projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, validation), define safety plans, and coordinate safety assurance activities, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of managing safety reports and safety cases, but also supporting tender activities and defending safety case argumentations in front of assessors.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Coordinating all safety assurance activities on the project as per defined safety processes and applicable Cenelec Norms (EN50126 and EN50129)
  • Performing safety analyses, managing Hazard Logs, and reviewing RAM, Cyber, V&V, and T&C activities from a safety perspective
  • Defining safety plans and managing safety workload and planning
  • Building safety reports and safety cases
  • Applying safety assurance methodologies such as risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, and verification and validation
  • Organizing and attending periodic safety reviews
  • Defending safety case argumentations in front of internal and external assessors and following up on action plans to address findings
  • Managing Safety Assurance Engineers involved in the project, if applicable
  • Handling safety issues using the 8D methodology as a Safety Leader

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Electronic Engineering) or equivalent
  • Fluency in Romanian and English for technical documentation and communication
  • Knowledge of Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent) and safety principles, methodologies, and concepts
  • Experience in signalling functional safety
  • Mastery of the full engineering cycle, from specification to verification and validation
  • Experience in signalling or interlocking systems (preferred)
  • Structured, organized, and proactive mindset
  • Resilience under pressure and ability to manage last-minute safety issues
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to execute and coordinate analyses, design reviews, and evaluations with sound engineering principles
