Could you be the full-time Safety Assurance Engineer in Bucharest we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your safety assurance expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and proactive teammates.
You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of our projects by applying rigorous safety assurance methodologies and contributing to the development of safety cases. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, and quality assurance), participate in safety reviews, and support the closure of findings raised by internal or external assessors, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of delivering safety analyses under the guidance of the Project Safety Assurance Manager (PSAM), but also support the elaboration of safety reports and cases.
We’ll look to you for:
- Delivering and performing safety analyses in alignment with Signalling Safety Instructions
- Contributing to the development of safety reports and cases under PSAM guidance
- Applying safety assurance methodologies, including risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification, and validation
- Participating in periodic safety reviews
- Supporting the closure of findings from internal or external assessors
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety objectives are met

- Engineering degree (preferably in Electronic Engineering) or similar
- Fluency in Romanian and English for speaking, reading, and writing technical documentation
- Knowledge of CENELEC Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards) and safety principles, methodologies, and concepts
- Experience in functional safety is desirable
- Understanding of the full engineering cycle (from specification to verification and validation tasks) and related interactions
- Experience in signalling or interlocking systems is an asset
- Strong organizational and structured approach to work
- Proactive and collaborative behavior, with a sense of anticipation and urgency
- Ability to coordinate analyses, design reviews, and evaluations using sound engineering principles
- Detail-oriented, with a thoughtful and deliberate approach to research and analysis
- Resilience under pressure and ability to manage last-minute deliveries or urgent safety issues
