Overview:
Project Safety Assurance Engineer, reporting to Bucharest Safety Regional Center
Perform Safety Assurance Activities related to Interlocking & ETCS (European Train Control Systems) for Central and East Europe Projects (under the governance/guidance of the Project Safety Assurance Manager)
As Project Safety Assurance Engineer will support Project Safety Assurance Manager to collaborate and interface with:
- Project Core team (Project Manager, Technical responsible, Verification ad Validation, Installation, Test & Commissioning)
- Quality team, Safety team, Internal Safety Assessors
Specific responsibilities of the role:
Manage the Safety activities, supporting the Project Safety Assurance Manager to:
- Perform Safety Analysis under the guidance of the Project Safety Assurance Manager, with the strict application of process as per Signalling Safety Instruction
- Participate to the elaboration of the Safety Plan, Hazard Log, System Hazard Analysis, Safety Related Application Conditions, Safety Reports and the Safety Case under the guidance of the Project Safety Assurance Manager
- Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors and define follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessor
Qualifications & Experience

University Degree in Engineering (Transportation Systems/Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent)

Fluent English (speaking/understanding) including reading/writing for technical documentation

Experience: 1 year of working experience in safety assurance. Profiles of new graduates with HIGH potential are also taken into consideration
Knowledge & Technical Competencies
-
- Basic knowledge of railway signalling principles
- Good computer skills
- Basic knowledge of safety principles
- Basic Knowledge for apply CENELEC/IEC Standards for Functional Safety (EN5012x, IEC61508)
- Technical Knowledge to analyze integration between different systems
- Knowledge about Requirements management and Quality development process
