Could you be the full-time Project Manager for Signalling Systems for Metro Projects in Cluj-Napoca we’re looking for?

 


Your future role

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your signalling systems and project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Michael in Cluj-Napoca and work alongside his professional and dedicated teammates.

 

You'll manage and coordinate the execution of signalling systems according to contractual requirements and customer expectations, ensuring alignment with Alstom’s commitment to excellence. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, industrial, quality, and various support functions), lead signalling-related activities, and much more.

 

You’ll specifically take care of the execution of signalling systems while also providing operational support to bid and project teams.

 

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Ensuring accountability for project QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance) and optimizing project financial performance, including sales and cash flow.
  • Defining project strategy in line with contract requirements, including Project Management Plan (PMP) development and objectives allocation to sub-systems.
  • Leading and coordinating project activities and stakeholders from transfer to close-out, including resource management and team leadership.
  • Aligning with contractual requirements, managing variation orders, and overseeing change management at the project level.
  • Proactively managing risks, opportunities, and savings to ensure project success.
  • Maintaining transparent communication with senior management through progress reporting and KPI tracking.
  • Managing customer and external stakeholder relationships to ensure ongoing alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Representing Alstom to customers and external stakeholders, ensuring contract management and variation orders as needed.

  • A university degree or a strong passion for the technical field.
  • Experience in infrastructure, signalling, construction, or turnkey projects.
  • Familiarity with the railways industry.
  • An IPMA certification is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a sub-system/component manager or qualified project manager.
  • Experience working in and with multinational companies and diverse business cultures.
