Overview:
The Planning Engineer position, reporting direct to Planning Manager will be responsible to build and update in the scheduling tool the project schedule (internal or customer schedule), according to inputs of the PrPM, in order to manage efficiently the time commitments of the project (tender, contract or program).

Specific responsibilities of the role:

In Tender:

  • Detail the tender schedule based on Reference Library templates, gap analysis, Métiers commitments, and PXO (Project Métiers organization such as PIO / Project Industrial Organization) tender strategy
  • Highlight the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule,
  • Include in the project schedule the interfaces with the partners and the Customer,
  • Deliver on time all schedule deliverables down to the requested level,

In contract or program execution:

  • Build the project schedule based on internal standard WBS, contractual targets and data provided by the PrPM,
  • Contribute with the PrPM to Earned Value Management,
  • Perform schedule analysis to identify gaps or schedule issues
  • Participate to periodic project schedule sessions
  • Provide a timely updated schedule situation highlighting the gap between the actual and the baseline,
  • Focus on early identification of potential delays (critical paths) including the status on risks and margin related to schedule
  • Prepare schedule and progress reports for Customer or Lead Unit or Partners,

For all:

  • Apply the Project Scheduling Process,
  • Contribute to the return of experience (REX) and improvements, share best practices, schedule templates.

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Upper  education. Engineerin degree
  • Project scheduling
  • English language advance
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and different scehduling tools
  • Communication skills
  • Team Work
  • Flexibility and adaptability
