Your future role

Take on a new challenge and bring your payroll expertise to a fast-paced and collaborative HR environment. Reporting to the HRO Admin and Payroll Team Leader, you'll contribute to the delivery of high-quality payroll services while ensuring full compliance with Romanian legislation and internal policies.

You'll be responsible for supporting payroll operations, managing complex payroll queries, validating payroll data and results, and partnering with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers. You'll also play an active role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining payroll accuracy, and ensuring an excellent service experience for employees, managers, and HR teams.

Every day, you'll work closely with HR Administration, HR Business Partners, Finance, and external providers to ensure payroll processes run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. Through your expertise and customer-focused approach, you'll help strengthen payroll compliance, operational excellence, and employee satisfaction.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Deliver accurate and timely payroll services for both white-collar and blue-collar employee populations, ensuring compliance with Romanian labour, tax and social security legislation.
  • Validate payroll data and payroll calculations, including salaries, overtime, shift allowances, night premiums, bonuses, deductions, leave payments and other payroll elements.
  • Manage complex payroll cases and provide second-level support for payroll-related queries, ensuring resolution within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Act as the main point of contact for employees, managers, HR teams and other stakeholders on payroll-related matters.
  • Build strong partnerships with external payroll providers and third-party vendors to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance and continuous service improvement.
  • Support payroll audits, controls and compliance activities while maintaining accurate process documentation and work instructions.
  • Monitor legislative changes and ensure payroll processes remain compliant with Romanian employment, tax and social security regulations.
  • Support payroll administration for shift workers and blue-collar populations, including attendance, overtime, shift schedules and collective bargaining agreement requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives that enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency and employee experience.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Reward, Legal and Operations teams to deliver a high-quality payroll service.
  • Coach and support colleagues by sharing payroll expertise and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Manage payroll-related requests and incidents through the internal ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to agreed SLAs.

All about you

  • Microsoft Office Pack: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Customer Orientation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability and resilience under pressure, with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
