Role Overview:
Industrial Quality Engineer it making sure that
- The Industrial Quality Engineer ensures the compliance of the maintenance process performed in the he ALSTOM Romania workshops and depots, according the operations priorities and fully respecting the Customer Agreements and Requirements (valid for the on-going projects).
- He / She participates at all inspections, checks, tests according to the applicable instructions and ITP valid for services and maintenance processes. He / She validates operations acc. ITP for each Hold Point required.
- He / She is the quality accountable for: non-conformance management, workstation audit preparation and execution, gives support to QMS team in preparation for external audits in the workshop/depot.
- Manage Industrial Quality Activities in specific workshop, according the project operations priorities (multi-project)
- Inspection of part / product / train / installation service
- Reporting of defects & ensure product compliance (check after rework)
- Qualitative acceptance of the products purchased from the suppliers, when requested.
- Supports and active participate to the issuance and update of the quality controls plans for each system, sub-system or processes that is running on the depot or workshop level
- Manage the workstation audits, internal NCR follow up and root-cause establishment with relevant functions (ENG, OPS, IND)
- Participates to Customer & AFER (Railway Safety) inspections when required
- Ensures customer approval, documents issuance & validation needed for the train book, product and service compliance acc. internal standards and customer requirements, management and follow up of external NCR actions.
As important responsibilities, the person will
- Secures that all inspections are performed and participates to internal reception controls to ensure maintenance activity compliance with customer and internal standards/ requirements.
- Records inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required.
- Maintain inspection records per component, assembly and vehicle and all documents needed for the train book
- Maintain Quality documentation for components, assemblies, and vehicles, acc. to AFER/ Customer request
- Participate in customer joint inspections
- Provide support to Metrology responsible to monitor equipment and measurement devices in all workshops and depots.
- Participate in supplier product validation (including incoming inspection) or supplier NCR (problem solving actions validation) together with SPQD/SQA
- Initiates Non-conformity reports for each deviation that occurs, in ERP system (QM notifications and QRQC), and segregates all non-complaint parts or process, acc. to approved procedures
- Challenges the project team members to review the deviation and establish root cause together with actions for problems solving (8D, NCR, QRQC)
- Monitors the NCR closure and its actions on time, with relevant functions involved (including CONQ collection)
- Participate in the resolution of customer claims referring to the quality of products and services supplied (including CONQ).
- Performs the workshops audits/inspections according to the annual audit plan
- Ensure the implementation of quality standards and tools in line with the quality strategy, to secure Zero NCR during audits
- Perform monthly meeting with workshop/depot manager to review Quality topics at workshop/depot level and top 3 issues
Mandatory Requirements:
- Associates degree, technical preferred.
- Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment.
- Qualified on special process of his/her scope of work.
- 4+ years quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry.
- Awareness on processes and products delivered in the project.
- Rigor, communication.
- Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, …) and quality tools.
- Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working.
Desirable:
- Railway experience a "plus".
- Experience in Quality / audit are appreciated
