Could you be the full-time Industrial Quality Engineer in Romania we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, adaptable, and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll ensure the compliance of the maintenance processes performed in Alstom Romania workshops and depots, in alignment with operational priorities and fully respecting customer agreements and requirements for ongoing projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Engineering, Operations, and Industrial teams), manage industrial quality activities, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of inspections, quality audits, and non-conformance management, but also support customer and safety inspections.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Participating in all inspections, checks, and tests according to applicable instructions and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Managing industrial quality activities in workshops, ensuring compliance with project operations priorities.
  • Inspecting parts, products, trains, and installation services, while reporting defects and ensuring product compliance.
  • Supporting the preparation and update of quality control plans for systems, subsystems, and processes.
  • Managing workstation audits, internal non-conformance reports (NCRs), and root cause analysis with relevant teams.
  • Participating in customer and railway safety inspections and ensuring compliance with customer and internal standards.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • An associate degree (technical preferred).
  • Experience or understanding of quality inspection processes (2+ years in manufacturing preferred).
  • Knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO9001, ECM 779/2019, IRIS, CMMI) and quality tools.
  • Familiarity with drawings/specifications and test equipment.
  • A qualification in special processes within the scope of work.
  • Experience in operational activities, documentation management, and team collaboration.
  • Desirable: Railway experience and familiarity with railway safety requirements.
  • Desirable: Experience facilitating quality and zero-defect programs at the workshop level.
