Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll be part of the France interlocking team in the Engineering Department and work alongside dynamic, adaptable, and forward-thinking teammates.

You’ll perform design activities related to interlocking for France projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Project Managers, Technical Leads, and teams from other sites), especially with colleagues from France, and much more.

You’ll specifically design or modify execution documents for site works on new signalling installations or modifications to signalling installations in service, in compliance with technical frameworks, industry standards (safety requirements), costs, and deadlines. You’ll also design or modify plans according to the specific needs of site works and tests.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Designing and modifying signalling installations while complying with customer requirements, technical frameworks, and reference documents.
  • Reporting to the Project Coordinator any necessary modifications identified during the design for analysis of cost and schedule impact.
  • Handling design revisions occurring during the execution phase.
  • Performing all or part of the pre-design, and participating in the technical file studies, depending on the project.
  • Managing document configuration within your scope of responsibility.
  • Signing the minutes of the deliverables you have designed.
  • Performing self-checks on your own deliverables.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering school/university, specialization or orientation in electrical design.
  • Knowledge of electrical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of railways is an asset.
  • Proficiency in English; minimum French A1 and potential to learn quickly.
  • Methodical approach and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Autonomy and perseverance.

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
