Could you be the full-time IXL Application Design Engineer in Bucharest we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Mihai, and work alongside dynamic, adaptable and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll Perform Design Application Activities related to Interlocking for Central and East Europe Projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Manager, Technical responsible, teams from other sites), Performing Design activities and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
- Contribute to the elaboration of (IXL) interlocking sub-system specification & architecture, in collaboration with the interlocking architect.
- Follow the design tool chain.
- Realize development of interlocking software modules.
- Prepare and performs the interlocking sub-system module tests and verifications of his deliverables (“Designer” tests), prior to the ones formally realized by a dedicated Verification and Validation team (depending on Safety Integrity Level and associated Product development organization).
- Supports the hardware/software integration, together with the hardware designer.
- Contributes to workload estimations for the deliverables of his scope.
- Applies internal processes and standards.
- Contributes to continuous improvement (return of experience, process improvement).

- University Degree in Engineering (Transportation Systems/Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent);
- Teamwork and Communication skills;
- Flexibility and adaptability;
- Basic knowledge of railway signaling principles;
- Good analytical skill;
- Understanding and experience in Software coding;
- Foreign language: English full proficient use, Italian/French represents an advantage;
- Basic knowledge of ITC Hardware architectures (client/server, workstation/Blade, Ip networking, routing, operating systems).
