Could you be the full-time D&IS EHS Manager in Craiova we’re looking for?

Your future role:

Take on a new challenge and apply your EHS and operational expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside professional, dedicated, and collaborative teammates, reporting to Viorel in Craiova.

You'll manage and coordinate our EHS activities for the D&IS Project Craiova Lot 1. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., business development, bids, project management, engineering, industrial, quality, and support functions), offer support to local teams, maintain the link with central teams, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of performing, monitoring, and controlling Health and Safety at Work and Environment (EHS) activities based on Alstom’s working rules and relevant legislation.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Implementing and maintaining the integrated management system for Environment-SSM-Energy (ISO14001-ISO45001-ISO50001) in your designated area of responsibility.
  • Identifying hazards and conducting risk assessments for all work system components (e.g., performer, workload, production methods, and work environment).
  • Identifying and evaluating environmental aspects generated by project activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with measures outlined in the annual EHS management documents, such as the Prevention and Protection Plan and Environmental Management Program.
  • Developing instructions to complement and apply legal safety and health regulations in line with contractual requirements.
  • Verifying the applicability and adherence to prevention and protection plans, instructions, and job-specific safety and health responsibilities.
  • Creating training materials for all phases and ensuring workers receive adequate safety and health training tailored to their roles.
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate safety and health signage in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of qualifications and jobs requiring specific authorizations as per legal mandates.
  • Conducting internal workplace inspections and controls.
  • Identifying and providing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for various workstations.
  • Delivering EHS training for new employees and subcontractors.
  • Monitoring subcontractors’ activities to ensure adherence to Alstom’s EHS requirements.
  • Participating in investigating workplace incidents and accidents.
  • Documenting employee improvement proposals and maintaining the EHS deviations database.
  • Completing tasks assigned by the EHS Manager or EHS Management Representative.

All about you:

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Upper education in a technical field.
  • Completion of a safety and health training course (minimum 80 hours).
  • Completion of an environmental training course (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience in safety and health or environmental protection.
