Could you be the full-time Depot Manager in Bucharest we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Project Manager ARF37 & TRAXX16, and work alongside dynamic, adaptable and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll organise and manage the activities within supply chain department in order to achieve material Project work package QCD. Ensure on- time parts/material availability and product delivery.
You’ll specifically contribute improving cost, lead time and inventory optimisation (deliver Project QCD).
We’ll look to you for:
- Manage the depot operations team to meet the objectives established by the management.
- Ensure that the operational targets, quality standards and safety requirements are achieved through the efficient management of resources.
- Support for the management of technical activities, based on the objectives of SQCD and contractual indicators, lead the team through continuous improvement plan, follow up of the correct development and application of the Maintenance Plan and contribute to the achievement of customer satisfaction.
- Provide the depot with all the necessary resources to execute the maintenance plan and corrective activities.
- Manage the depot operations team schedule.
- Transmit to the depot operations team the standard maintenance processes with the established quality.
- Monitor and control depot operations team output (SQCD KPI´s) on a shift-by-shift basis and day-by-day basis.
- Manage the needs of the depot with the rest of the Alstom organization.
- Manage the improvement proposals of the depot operations team.
- Promote and apply Continuous Improvement culture in the depot operations team.
- Ensure the overall management and development of team members.
- Ensure a comfortable work environment and develop opportunities for personal and professional growth for all team members.
- Ensure that all the depot operations team members use the company tools: GSI, SES, ALPS, SNOW, etc.
- Contribute to the team's effort to achieve results if necessary.
- Comply with Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational health regulations.
- Safety: notify incidents / near misses that affect Railway Safety to its hierarchical superior and EHS managers; realization and participation in accident investigation; proposal of measures to improve the safety in the depot.
- Ensure that the personnel under his command in the maintenance projects have the required and adequate skills, training and information for the correct performance of the activities related to security.
- Manage the logistics related to the training/qualification of the personnel regarding the security requirements, as well as its recycling.
- Make available to the workshop’s personnel the industrial maintenance documentation necessary to execute the operations.
- Apply the requirements that allow to maintain the vehicles in safe operating conditions.
- Ensure the sufficiency and suitability of the necessary resources to comply with the security requirements in maintenance and ensure that it is carried out by competent personnel.
- Maintain the security levels after a change of maintenance requirements.
- Ensure the application of the mitigating measures defined for the technical risks identified.
- According to the established processes, report any incident or security problem that occurs during the maintenance contract.
- Inform in case of receiving an incident in service that can affect safety.
- Ensure the work is prioritized with prevalence of maintenance security operations and the execution of modifications related to safety.
- Contractual indicators assigned to their responsibility. Mainly focus on Availability & Reliability.
- Objectives established annually according to compliance with performance indicators for standard works and compliance with contractual objectives.
- Services operations team KPI’s.
- Customer survey satisfaction.
Competencies & Skills
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- Ability to make decisions and sense of urgency (sets priorities and reacts immediately when confronted with a problem)
- Proactivity in proposing solutions, capable of managing multiple / high-priority assignments
- Flexibility and adaptability (ability to evaluate alternative ways of achieving objectives)
- Critical thinking and good judgement
- Good communications and interpersonal skills (must be able to communicate on all levels)
- Ability to be innovative and detail-oriented, experienced in highly visible projects
- Strong analytical skills to interpret research data for reports
- Ability to manage effectively and meet firm deadlines
- Knowledge of general tools: Office suite in advance level
- Knowledge of Process Improvement
- Knowledge in GSI system - user level

- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position, in logistics, procurement, in an international environment
- English knowledge: business proficiency
- Demonstrated experience with GSI program with special regards to modules used for management of the Operations
- Expert-level knowledge in MS Office
