We operate in the domain of Design and construction of safety critical transportation systems.
Very accurate verification (have we done the design correctly versus the internal process?), Validation (have we done a design meeting the customer requirements?) and integration ( is the system operating properly considering the nominal and possible degraded situations?) are mandatory as per the related Standards applicable.

Overview:
The Interlocking Application Design Engineer position, reporting directly to Interlocking (IXL) Team leader will as a responsibility have:
Delivers software modules by ensuring detailed design and implementation of these modules.
Specific responsibilities of the role:
- Contributes to the elaboration of (IXL) interlocking sub-system specification & architecture, in collaboration with the interlocking architect.
- Follow the design tool chain.
- Realizes development of interlocking software modules.
- Prepares and performs the interlocking sub-system module tests and verifications of his deliverables (“Designer” tests), prior to the ones formally realized by a dedicated Verification and Validation team (depending on Safety Integrity Level and associated Product development organization).
- Supports the hardware/software integration, together with the hardware designer.
- Contributes to workload estimations for the deliverables of his scope.
- Applies internal processes and standards.
- Contributes to continuous improvement (return of experience, process improvement).
Qualifications & Experience
- University Degree level in Electronics /Automation/Transportation/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics or Physics.
- Student in final year in an Engineering Faculty (for part-time position only).
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point.
- English Language: Medium/Advanced Level.
- Experience in Engineering, Transport Engineering or other safety critical industrial field represents and advantage.
- Knowledge of the programming language represents an advantage.
- Knowledge of another international circulation language represents an advantage (French, Italian, Spanish, German).
