Could you be the full-time onsite Site APSYS Leader in Brugge, Belgium we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your ambitious and motivated expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates.

The Site APSYS Leader is responsible for deployement of APSYS (Alstom Performance System) roadmap in all metiers of the site (Shopfloor, Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Project Management).

Lean & Continuous Improvement Deployment - Animate, coordinate and challenge improvement actions to reach the targets defined based on the roadmaps &  using toolboxes to deliver operational performance & develop local best practices that will be shared with the steering committee.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Lean & Continuous Improvement Deployment:
    • Reporting to the Site Managing Director on strategic transformation using site SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) objectives and APSYS ( Alstom Performance System) roadmap.
    • Train people on APSYS program, methodologies and tools in his/her site / project.
    • Support each department in deployment by providing on field expertise on lean & continuous improvement tools.
    • Facilitate and coordinate all improvement actions to reach the targets defined based on the roadmaps
    • Consolidate and report deployment status to Managing Director and APSYS Central team.

Lean & Continuous Improvement assessment: 

    • Is responsible of self-assessment consolidation and APSYS assessment week / support mission’s preparation (logistics / accommodation, agenda, people availability …)
    • Perform APSYS assessments in other sites / projects

Lean & Continuous Improvement Network

    • Participate to events (webinars, APSYS award...)
    • Contribute as trainer to global training program deployment in other sites / projects
    • Share good practices & benchmarks (internal / external) within the network) 

 Performance measurements:

    1. Successful Lean & Continuous Improvement  impact
    2. Progress in maturity
    3. Site Key Performance Indicators  (KPI) improvement


All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Master degree (technical/engineering field)
  • Master lean principles desired (5S, Standard, Gemba, Value Stream Mapping VSM, Six Sigma, problem solving, performance and kaizen mindset)
  • Capacity to coach top management of a site and a project team
  • Lean DNA would be appreciated
  • Ability to develop a network across all sites, high energy, high exposure, international travel
  • Competencies:  Digital and Analytical tools, communication, conflict and crisis management, problem management, COS - Operational flows/ PXO, management (engineering, manufacturing, industrial, sourcing), EHS Management System, Industrial Management, Services: industrial, management for maintenance
  • Fluent in Dutch and English- mandatory, any other language is a plus
