PURPOSE OF THE JOB

 

You are responsible for the project related procurement of specific scopes, in alignment with the group supplier panels and commodity strategy. You ensure, through professional purchasing practices, the availability of parts/goods/services (direct or indirect) at the right total cost and in good quality.

 

Your mission

 

  • Align the local  purchasing approach  to the group commodity strategy. For the running projects on the Bruges site: ensure adequate sourcing at the right conditions and contractual set up.. Negotiate and issue framework agreements and PO’s to the awarded suppliers , and keep track of any changes during the project.
  • Keep close interaction with the internal stakeholders on any risks, issues or opportunities.
  • Manage the supplier relation to a “best in class” level.
  • Actively work on cost saving initiatives within the scope, in close collaboration with the Project Procurement Manager. Issue RFQ accordingly.

 

Your profile

 

  • Native Dutch, fluent in English  (French is an advantage).  

  • Engineering degree or Commercial degree with sound technical background by experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in a relevant role in procurement (transport industry is a plus).
  • Solid level in Microsoft Office Applications, good experience with ERP programs and particularly SAP.
  • Good communicator, agile team player, highly responsive and autonomous.
