Expediting Team Leader in Bruges, Belgium

 

Purpose of the Job

To plan, manage Logistics activities according to the Alstom guidelines and policies and with the overall objectives of profitable growth through customer care and quality improvement. Deliver Excellence in a Quality, Cost and Delivery focused organisation and business environment.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

  • Reduce the structural risks of our Supply Chain and raise its efficiency.
  • To successfully deploy best-practices to reach world-class excellence in Supply Chain implementation of ALSTOM Business Excellence.
  • To bring all necessary support, through expertise & resources to Projects to achieve QCD commitments.
  • Develop processes for controlling logistic flows and inventories control, Exports, supplier’s trainsets & equipment delivery.
  • To manage the area KPIs.
  • Analyse and provide solutions to identified gaps in current situation of the Logistics (internal and external), taking into account capacity, cost, risk, development and propose adjustment.
  • Ensure comprehensive analyses include the understanding of the technologies and economics of the Supply chains and Suppliers internal and external.
  • Manage the Logistic team and different warehouses.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Technical/Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Master in Supply Chain Management will be a plus.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role with proven leadership skills.
  • Valuable experience in expediting or operational purchasing.
  • Good knowledge of Office Tools, SAP would be a plus.
  • Change management skills highly recommended.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch. French is a plus.
