The Quality Management System (IMS) Manager plans, integrates, develops, maintains and monitors application of the Alstom integrated management system. They assure the integrity of the processes, governance of the process and deliverables. They are mandated to manage / monitor critical processes. The QMS will oversee and support other functions in the development of processes and monitor and support all functions in the closing of corrective and preventive actions and drive for continuous improvement. The QMS enables the functions and management to maintain certifications, e.g. IRIS, ISO and support the respective management representative acc. Quality standards.


 Main responsibilities:


  • Manage and support the evolution, improvement and deployment of company’s Integrated Business Processes for the site in Bruges:

-Co-ordinate work of respective Process Operators/Business Process Owners/Process Owners in his/her organization;

-Verify processes of all functions in his/her organization;

-Ensure consistency of process development with Business Process Owners/Process Owners wide process development;

-Facilitate integration of process documentation into the global system;

-Assure that business processes are consistent with (as required) IRIS, ISO 9001, CENELEC, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and other relevant standards;

-Contribute to the development of process documentation owned by the Quality Function;

-Supervise process deployment and awareness by all functions;

  • Maintain ISO 9001, IRIS and other relevant certification for all sites in the area of responsibility (BU/region/division) including the local application of the company’s Quality Policy.
  • Plan, monitor and lead internal audits in the site in Bruges.
  • Lead monitoring and reporting of process performance and process maturity assessment, including KPI reports (CARs, time to close open items …) and management summary.
  • The managing and support to all functions for the management of corrective and preventive actions, as well as the consolidation and reporting of it.
  • Organize the lab activities and calibration of measurement equipment used in the site in Bruges.



  • Bachelor’s/ Master degree in Engineering or equivalent;
  • Typically 5 – 8 years of experience in a relevant role;
  • Leadership experience;
  • Experience in architecting, documenting and managing process documents;
  • International working experience in an industrial organization;
  • IRIS, ISO 9001, Value Chain, other relevant standards, such as OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, EMAS;
  • Certification process of relevant standards;
  • Quality or HSE management experience and (internal) auditor experience, experience with certification bodies and their management;
  • Audit experience (internal and external);
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English.
