Our Rollingstock Engineering team is currently looking for a Train System Domain Leader who will primarily be responsible for managing the Train System Electrical team activities in accordance with Quality Cost Deliver Performance commitments on the projects. Reporting to the Train System Metier Manager as well ensuring the depolyment of Alstom Transport Quality Management System and corresponding Engineering instructions inside the team. You will 

 

You will be a key collaborator in the stakeholder management process by working closely with the Engineering team by supporting consistent development of competencies inside the team required for this domain, following the right methodologies and tools and be the technical interface with customer in order to provide support to Project Manager. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the design reviews are prepared and documented as per the project/program schedule and to follow-up the main open actions.
  • Supporting Site TS metier manager for the forecast of the Site workload, based on hypotheses provided by the workload manager and identifying necessary resources to secure project QCD commitments.
  • Make arbitration on architecture definition between the subsystems to reach the best compromise at train level
  • Technical open issues resolution in line with project strategy provided by PrEM, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure,
  • Providing Return of experience to be implemented in Reference Solutions. Contribute to the Return on Experience (RoE) committee and documentation update.
  • Defining and performing Train verification strategy in close collaboration with all Engineering metiers and Certification & Validation teams.
  • Leading the train integration and tuning phase and train level test specifications. 

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and ideally a RPEQ or Chartered Professional Engineer, Electrical domain
  • Experience working in the Train/Rollingstock engineering space preferably 
  • Experience managing a team 
  • Good Communications and interpersonal skills
