Could you be the Project Buyer based in our Wulkuraka, QLD site office that we're looking for? 

Your future role: 

Alstom has an opportunity to join our Procurement team the Wulkuraka, QLD site office. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to take your career to the next level with development opportunities and project exposure working on the Queensland New Generation Rollingstock project. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be primarily responsible for monitoring the procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development) as well as ensuring the on-time delivery and quality are secured especially during the ramp-up phase of the project. 
 
We'll look to you for:  

• Preparing and launching of Request for Quotation with suppliers. 
• Leading project negotiations. 
• Ensuring effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving.
• Managing specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances).
• Monitoring Corporate Social Responsibility engagements and deviations.
• Idenifying P&L savings and Cost to Complete.

 
All about you:  

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Procurement with relevant background in sourcing.
• Proven experience in the sourcing.
• Maintenance industry experience is highly desirable.
• Rail industry and/or project experience.
