ONB Test & Commissioning Engineer (w/d/m)

Alstom Digital & Integrated Systems offers a wide range of services and products relating to signalling technology and infrastructure. In close cooperation with our worldwide product competence centers, we cover business development, sales and bid management as well as customer-oriented project management, homologation, system engineering, documentation, mechanical integration, installation, commissioning and warranty at Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Purpose of the Job

The ONB T&C Engineer is responsible for successful completion of the On-Board T&C activities related to a Railway Signalling subsystem (e.g. ETCS ATLAS, Local STM´s PZB/LZB, SCMT, ATB, TBL, KVB etc.). This is must be achieved following project strategy, company policies (including EHS, railway safety, local regulation and professional standard) and project QCD targets.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare and execute testing activities
  • in support to one or several Projects on railway signalling systems under the direction of his / her hierarchy
  • according to the testing procedure / documentation and following Sub-system T&C Leader and / or  PrCOM instructions
• Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting)
• In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context
• Ensure follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports.
• Check that the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.
• Support V&V team and perform test in lab as per request
• Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety)

Performance Measurement

• Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests
• Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards
• Quality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

• Master's degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of German and English language (read, written, spoken)

Desirable:

• Any other additional language is an asset

Experience

Mandatory:

• Previous experience in T&C, V&V or Warranty activities for signaling projects

• Previous team management skills
