Installation Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

Main purpose of the role is to design and deploy Quality Control Plan per manufacturing process to support an external demerit at 0 for Alstom Customer and the Zero Defect Program.


Location: Germany, Braunschweig


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Industrial Quality activities on-site.
  • Stop the production/installation in case of a defect which justifies mandatory rework.
  • Participate or delegate customer joint Inspections.
  • Participate to process FMEA definition.
  • Build, implement & regularly update Quality Control Plans with REX of previous project execution.
  • Ensure customer approval, documents validation & compliance of the manufactured products before shipping.
  • Technician profile
    • Perform, participate to inspections of products (Customer joint inspections included if applicable).
    • Manage problem solving.
    • Records inspection results in the industrial tools as required & performed follow-up.
    • Perform first characterization & manage NCR’s for non-compliant products for internal responsibility.
    • Accepts or rejects products as defined in the working instructions / Expert support.
    • Support manufacturing / installation teams regarding the self-inspection, delegation of control (Training, audit, …) & Position Quality Animation with EPU manager.



  • Master’s degree in engineering is desirable (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical…) or equivalent for PIQ.
  • Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools.
  • 5 years experiences in Industrial.
  • Project management or equivalent.


Competencies & Skills 

  • Technical mastering of railway products.
  • Fluent in German.
  • International mindset & fluent in English.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
