Your Future Role
At our modern office at ARTmax in Braunschweig, over 300 colleagues from 26 countries work on research and development with a focus on the digitization of rail.
As Head of Projects Wayside (f/m/d), you are accountable for project QCDP performance, optimization of Project Financial performance (Margin & Cash), project governance and definition of the project strategy in line with contract requirements, including objectives allocation to Sub-Systems.
We'll lock for you to:
Lead and coordinate project activities and stakeholders from tender-transfer to close-out, including:
- Proper transfer from tender to project
- Definition of Project objectives and main drivers (product/service performance, planning) to achieve customer satisfaction in the frame of the Contract
- Continuously alignment with customer contractual requirements, ensuring contract management and variation orders towards customer
- Resources Management and escalation when project resources available do not match the project needs
- Asure that in- and external key project stakeholders are aligned towards project/ goals
- Engage project teams in the successful achievement of project objectives and strengthen relationships among them
- Synchronize internal partners and arbitrate when necessary, manage claim and litigations if needed
- Proactive risk, saving and opportunity management, ensure compliance
- Management of the project progress and its KPIs, and reports to senior management
- Being accountable for EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) in the Projects

- Master Degree
- track record and several years of experience in project management in the railway sector, preferably in the area of infrastructure
- Strong communication skills with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in leading and coordinating cross-divisional and cross-location teams
- Strong leadership skills, entrepreneurial thinking and a clear focus on results
- Very good understanding of project management processes
- Good knowledge of railway technology, products and systems
- Experience in conflict and crisis management
- Ability to professionally manage customer relationships
- Very good negotiation skills
- Confident handling of complex project structures
- Ability to operate confidently in a political environment
- Fluency in English and German is required
