We are currently looking to recruit a  Hardware Engineer (m/f/d)
in Braunschweig, Germany, for our  Rail Control Solutions division


As a Hardware Engineer you are the one to construct the housings of all equipment an interlocking consists of. The job ranges from selection of cabinets and parts over planning and construction until the final preparation of manufacturing and customer documentation.

As our manufacturing facilities are all external you have to have a good capability to work ‘on screen’ without having the execution in direct sight.

As part of the complete site data preparation team you are wanted to crosscheck your part of the process with all other members and professions of the team to ensure a seamless and complete premanufactured result to be delivered to the customer.


Your Tasks

  • Constructive implementation of cabinets and housing for  our interlocking systems in Germany
  • Creation and verification of project and product documentation
  • Creation of manufacturing documentation  for customer projects
  • Preparation of component information within the SAP partlist system / database
  • Independent development and prototypical implementation of new cabinet structures
  • Prototype construction-support at the manufacturer (on site or from a distance)
  • Collaboration within the framework of customer audits
  • Improvement management in the area of plant construction / increase of the reusability of plant parts
  • Reconciliation of  questions between projecting and manufacturing
  • Obsolescence management for components used
  • Support for validation, appraisers, authorities, acceptance inspectors and operators


Your Qualifcations

  • Technician, if possible with several years of professional experience,  alternatively university degree(mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, etc.)
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of  CAD
  • Good expertise in the rules and standards in the field of electrical systems in Germany
  • In-depth knowledge of current components, cabinet systems and other components of electrical systems in Germany
  • Knowledge of the relevant specifications for interlocking systems in Germany is an advantage
  • High commitment and resilience as well as independent working methods
  • Very good team communication skills
  • Very good knowledge with CAD  for electrical planning (e.g. ESPlan) as well as MS Office
  • Experience in the use of SAP master data and BOM management are an advantage
  • German at native speaking level is mandatory, English at business level is an advantage
