Could you be the Development Center Director (f/m/d) based in Braunschweig/Germany we’re looking for?

 

Your Future Role 

In this key role, you will assume overall responsibility for the successful realization of complex projects in  railway signaling in terms of quality, costs, deadlines and performance (QCDP). You will manage the platform strategy and solution road maps in line with contractual requirements and ensure the economic achievement of targets (margin & cash).

 

 

We’ll look for you to:

  • Ensure coordination with Solution Directors and with Regional Center (for planning, quality, finance, deliveries, interaction with engineering and projects…)
  • Monitor and develop DC team people skills, according global strategy
  • Definition and management of the transformation plans
  • Report DC performances to management
  • Define and coordinate interactions with other DC, according to program PIOs and common objectives
  • Develop and execute competitiveness plans for the Development Center in coordination with platform and regions
  • Ensure that Products & Systems are sustained (Life Cycle Management)
  • Support tenders and validate quotations of R&D gaps and VO.

  • Degree in technical disciplines, specialization in Computer Sciences would be an asset
  • Strong Engineering/Product design experience
  • Proven leadership skills and decision-making capability in a technical highly complex environment
  • Good inclusiveness and negotiation skills with other peers to drive product roadmaps and arbitrate business priorities, excellent people manager
  • Reporting capability in exposure to top management
  • Calm and resilient under pressure, with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in English is required, German would be an asset
