Purpose of the Job

On the Citadis Spirit LRV supplied on Toronto and Ottawa, the Configuration Manager will assist the Project Manager for managing:

- Definition and Deployment of configuration management process (designated decision making authority);

- Design change management;

- Follow up of Variation Orders or Instructions in the technical impact of the change of scope.



  • Definition and implementation of the configuration management processes across Toronto and Ottawa contracts;
  • Improvements made to the management of engineering processes;
  • Improvement in communication, coordination of changes across all project teams;
  • Baseline realised in due time as part of the Contract Handing Over.



  • Acting as sole point of contact leading the definition  and implementation of configuration management processes as per ISO 10007 and contract requirements
  • To organise and chair change control boards (CCB) with the project’s organisation key peoples and ensure decision are made  
  • Ensure the decision taken in CCB are implemented by all
  • To manage follow-up of configuration item list
  • To manage and feed the data base used for the project
  • To manage the Asset Management for the Project
  • To support the tracking of the Variation Orders and Instructions from Clients
  • To deliver regular reports (documentation and configuration) to the Engineering manager
  • To disseminate information to the team and project involved entities
  • To maintain and update Project Configuration Management Procedure with the Engineering Manager and the T&C Manager
  • Comply with the rules defined in the Configuration Management Procedure defined for the two on-going projects, and make sure those rules are understood and respected by every project entities
  • To suggest and deploy improvements for his/her activity organisation (process, data base)
  • As required to organise and chair Configuration Control Board, in which configuration changes (evolutions and/or modifications) are decided


Knowledge / Experience

  • BS / Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience within configuration/modification management
